ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Continuous Improvement Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing quality checks as directed
  • Responsible for actively participating in continuous improvement through problem solving
  • Responsible for manually performing various press and cutting operations, packaging, sorting, or loading functions
  • Responsible for actively following and participating in the improvement of standard work
  • Responsible for completion of all required production and process documentation accurately and timely
  • Adhere to all ISO 14001/IATF 16949 requirements and safety regulations

Safety Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reporting any machinery malfunctions or unsafe conditions to an area leader or support personnel immediately

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to learn effective use of mics, calipers, gaging and other measurement devices
  • Ability to read standard work documents and Instructions

EDUCATION + KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time without leaving the work area
  • Required to walk considerable distances within the facility during the course work

Schedule and Wage: First shift – 5am-3:30pm Monday – Thursday – $14.50 per hour | Second shift – 3:30pm-2am Monday – Thursday – $16.50 per hour

SUMMARY

The Production Welder will perform MIG welding of steel assembly components. They will also perform metal forming operations in addition to various general labor tasks such as operating press or benders, sorting, loading of materials and packaging work in process and finished goods. The Production Welder is also responsible for identifying and communicating potential quality defect and participating in improvement activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Personnel Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up fixtures and securing parts prior to welding
  • Responsible for obtaining components needing to be welded
  • Responsible for changing welding wire and other welding components
  • Responsible for performing MIG welding on assigned product
  • Responsible for the proper packaging, identifying and moving of all finished products to the proper location

Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Continuous Improvement Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting customer demand
  • Responsible for creating quality welds according to prints (weld symbols)
  • Responsible for performing visual examinations of work pieces for defects or corrections

Safety Responsibilities

  • Responsible for equipment settings and gas requirements
  • Responsible for using all safety devices and personal protection equipment provided for protection

 SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to identify weld joints
  • Ability to perform MIG welding while maintaining a steady hand
  • Ability to perform gaging of finished product for quality verification
  • Excellent physical endurance
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination

EDUCATION + KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Completion of Trade School preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Welding experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time without leaving the work area
  • Ability to weld in a variety of positions
  • Required to lift by raising or lowering objects from one level to another regularly during shift up to 50 lbs

Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at Tube Fab/Roman Engineering. This role is essential in maintaining our commitment to quality and excellence in our products. The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for conducting inspections and tests to ensure that our tubing components meet industry standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Personnel Responsibilities

  • Provides support with maintaining comprehensive knowledge of development and use of standards or instructions and holding others accountable to follow set standards.

Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Continuous Improvement Responsibilities

  • Assists with monitoring quality and scrap dispositions, verifying quality standards, and working cross-functionally with appropriate departments to meet customer needs.
  • Assists with cross-functional/cross-shift communication of the needs of the team and internal concerns of the team.
  • Assists with continuous improvement initiatives for their department in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
  • Responsible for analyzing problems and presenting solutions using standard problem-solving tools and methods.
  • Assists with developing, maintaining and improving the 5S standards in department.
  • Responsible for adherence to all ISO 14001/TS16949 requirements.
  • Responsible for accuracy of E2 reporting.
  • Support production implementation of new products and process trials/changes.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying, reporting, and correcting unsafe work practices and environments.
  • Responsible for reporting all workplace injuries.
  • Refrains from any unsafe act that might endanger themselves or a co-worker.
  • Uses all safety devices provided for protection.

EDUCATION + KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles concepts (standardized work, problem-solving, 5S, Kanban) required.
  • Advanced knowledge with use of precision measurement equipment.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years Manufacturing Experience (preferred).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Required to stand for extended periods of time and frequently change locations.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Safety glasses and earplugs required in designated areas.
  • Ability to grasp, feel, handle, bend at the waist.
